The federation said that if a player with a female title changes her gender to male, it would be tantamount to “losing” her title, but if the player reverts to gender, she can regain the title. If a male player changes gender to female, all titles remain the same.
Chess titles are divided into public titles and women’s titles. Public titles are open to all chess players, while women’s titles are only available to female chess players.
