North Korea is preparing to launchdetectiveSatellite. South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik said yesterday that North Korea’s spy satellite will be launched this week.
“We seriously warn North Korea to face up to the fact that the international community has unanimously condemned its illegal activities and is prepared to do so,” South Korea’s Contract General Staff headquarters said in a statement. The military spy satellite launch plan has been immediately suspended.”
South Korea’s military said the launch of the spy satellite was a provocative act that violated UN Security Council resolutions banning North Korea from using ballistic missile technology.
Pyongyang officials claimed that due to the “military threat” from the United States and its allies, it would demonstrate “more aggressive and repressive retaliatory capabilities”.
