Four senior Lebanese officials and three French officials said the document is the first written proposal presented to Beirut during the Western mediation period. Last week, French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourn passed it on to senior Lebanese officials, including Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
According to this proposal, the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah would demolish all houses and facilities close to the border and withdraw armed forces such as the elite Radwan Force and anti-tank systems at least 10 kilometers north of the border.
