Pence also sought to curb arms sales to Taiwan, cut economic ties between the United States and China’s vital industries, ban Chinese citizens from working at U.S. technology companies to reduce intellectual property theft, and crackdown on Chinese social media. Pence elaborated on the differences between the Republican presidential candidates over the Russia-Ukraine war and how China would view the United States’ continued response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
