This is the second theft in a week targeting a pest control home. Homeowner Alexis Gilliam-Lerner said she was disappointed by the breach and the damage to her property, but she was also grateful that no one was home at the time of the incident and her family was safe.

Gilliam-Lerner felt as if she was in a nightmare, with burglars cutting through screens and awnings to get into her home and steal items. Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering from the backyard, climbing through a window and stealing thousands of dollars worth of items, including jewelry, shoes, handbags and baseball collectibles. The owner of the house analyzed that one window was slightly open, and the thief took out the disinfection tube from the house and opened the rest of the window. White handprints and fingerprints could be seen at the scene.

Detective Robin Salazar of the Pacific Community Division of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), responsible for the case, said a residence in the Venice area was also burgled last week while it was being disinfected and disinfected.
