CNN reported that the Limpopo Provincial Transport Authority said on the 18th that the bus involved in the accident was heading from the city of Musina to Venetia, South Africa’s largest diamond mine. The accident involved 18 employees of the mining company Murray and Roberts. Died in a car accident.
According tosocial mediaFootage of the crash posted online showed bodies scattered on the ground and thick smoke billowing from the bus. Limpopo transport authorities said they would visit the scene to obtain a full report on the accident.
It is not clear how many people were on the bus and whether there are any survivors.
This is the second bus accident involving serious casualties in Limpopo this year. In February, around 20 people were killed when a bus and a cash transport truck collided.
