According to the Associated Press and Reuters,swedenA fire broke out in a water park under construction at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, the second-largest city, injuring at least 22 people and leaving one missing. Police and fire officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire.
Sources said that after the fire broke out at the water park construction site, the fire spread to several water slides and a machine shed-like building.
Nearby hotels and many offices have been evacuated.
Liseberg amusement park is the largest in Swedentheme parkOne, additional water park cost 1.2 billion Swedish kronor (about US$120 million) and was originally scheduled to open this summer.
The park did not say the extent of the damage or whether it would affect scheduled plans.
